Accessible Integrated Media (AIM) operates a Training Center located in Largo, Maryland that provides career advancement services to professionals in Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. AIM's Training Center offers courses, workshops, and coaching across a wide range of fields to help working adults gain new skills and transition into new roles or industries. Areas of training offered include technology, business, sign language, and education.

The goal of AIM's Training Center is to open up professional opportunities for career-minded adults in the D.C. metro area looking to acquire additional skills, update their knowledge, or pivot into entirely new career directions with appropriate support. It aims to be an accessible local resource for working professionals at all levels to maintain relevance and realization in today's rapidly evolving job market.

EIPA

​

The Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) is a nationally recognized evaluation that assesses sign language interpreters working in elementary and secondary school settings. The assessment consists of both a written test and a performance evaluation. To maintain program integrity, the EIPA requires approved proctoring centers to administer all components. Accessible Integrated Media’s (AIM) Training Center in Largo, Maryland is an EIPA-approved proctor site serving test-takers in the Washington D.C. metro area. AIM provides a controlled environment and scheduled appointments for individuals looking to take the EIPA Diagnostic, Practice, or Full Evaluation, including both the written and interpreted performance sections. Test administrators ensure compliance with assessment protocols and submission of complete score reports to the national EIPA center. Passing the full EIPA evaluation demonstrates that educational interpreters meet a standard competency level for continuing professional practice, with higher scores indicating greater interpreting skills. CASLI

The Certified American Sign Language Interpreter (CASLI) exam evaluates interpreters’ knowledge and practical skills related to working between American Sign Language (ASL) and English. Accessible Integrated Media’s (AIM) Training Center in Hyattsville, Maryland is certified by CASLI to administer the CASLI Performance Test. This test section separately evaluates an interpreter's ASL fluency, discourse strategies, and message transference when interpreting between ASL and English. AIM provides scheduled testing appointments and ensures the integrity and confidentiality of all CASLI testing materials and procedures. Passing the CASLI Performance Test demonstrates an interpreter has met industry standards for applied interpreting skills. Meazure Learning

In addition to the Certified American Sign Language Interpreter (CASLI) Performance Test, Accessible Integrated Media’s (AIM) Training Center also provides testing for the CASLI Written Test through its partnership with Meazure Learning. Meazure Learning has been approved by CASLI to deliver the written exam component which evaluates interpreters’ understanding of topics like professional roles and responsibilities, language development, and cultural dynamics within the Deaf community. AIM serves as an authorized test site for Meazure Learning, scheduling CASLI Written Test appointments for interpreters seeking credentials in the Washington, D.C. metro region. Administering this leading interpreting exam allows AIM’s Training Center to better support local practitioners pursuing this industry-recognized certification. Offering convenient access to testing also upholds robust standards for those entering professional ASL interpreting roles that rely extensively on cultural awareness and ethical decision making.
