Accessible Integrated Media (AIM) offers a program designed to help interpreters achieve NIC/CASLI Certification or pass the EIPA Assessment (both Written and Performance). The program includes the following key features and perks for interpreter participants:

Perks and Conditions

1. Test Opportunities:

   • Every 6 months, interpreters can take one of the following tests:

     • CASLI/NIC Certification Written

     • CASLI/NIC Certification Performance 

     • EIPA Written

     • EIPA Performance

   • AIM restricts both the Written and Performance tests from being taken at the same time unless the interpreters fulfill double the required hours within 6 months.

2. Reimbursement Policy:

   • Once the required hours are satisfied within the 6 months, interpreters can request AIM to reimburse them for their test payment.

   • Interpreters must take the test at AIM's location in Largo, MD.

   • Interpreters do not have to pass the test, but they must attempt it.

3. Scheduling Tests:

   • Once the interpreter reaches the required hours, they must schedule their first test within two weeks of meeting their goal.

• Educational Non-Certified Interpreters: 38 hours 

• Community Certified Interpreters: 50 hours
