Assignment: This ongoing opportunity is for skilled Deaf individuals who are interested in creating the ASL version of a State’s driving manual. The manual will be signed at your pace and written in English to ASL.

Who: CDIs, DIs, and Clear Deaf Community Members who have a strong skill in English comprehension and ASL expression. 

Duration: Ongoing project until project completion

Recording Times: Evenings & Weekends. 3 hours per booking. The schedule will be created based on availability. 

Starting: January-April 2025

Location: Filming Studio in Largo, MD, or Confirmed Home Studio with Proper Lighting, setting, and placement

Payment Range: 

-Deaf Community Member (Non-Working Interpreter): $50 per hour/3-hour minimum per booking 

(1-hour content review + 2 hours recording session) (Total: $150)

-Deaf Interpreter: $60 per hour/3-hour minimum per booking 

(1-hour content review + 2 hours recording session) (Total: $180)

-Certified Deaf Interpreter: $70 per hour/3-hour minimum per booking 

(1-hour content review + 2 hours recording session) (Total: $210)

Payment: Once AIM receives the invoice, payment will be distributed within 30 days. 

Process:

3. We will contact you to discuss the opportunity further and confirm screening.

4. If selected, we will send you an NDA, Consent form, and the sign-up schedule to complete.

5. Choose your recording dates.

6. Come in on the scheduled date and record the content.

7. Submit Invoice using the link provided.

8. You will receive payment within 30 days of the received Invoice.
